I think this course was one of the most appropriate content driven courses I have ever taken. The course and content is exceptional!
I loved the course! It felt a bit like two courses, the first part was deep in detail, and with new knowledge, and paid fantastic attention to the Cardiac/Respiratory and CNS systems.... That weird little guy in the brown jacket and different colored fluid in his desk beaker was funny, and spot on... I couldn't get enough of his use of analogies and his ability to make the complex seem like common sense.

I just finished your Paediatric for Paramedic course, what a good course. I want to comment on the story you told in the text about you working on car and delivering the child and not drying and warming enough and the baby’s unfortunate outcome. When I was doing my EMA2 training a million years ago, you were there as a sessional instructor doing a talk on paediatrics and told that story. It must’ve profoundly struck me as I’ve never forgotten that as I’ve gone through my career dealing with situations that were similar. It had an impact on me, so thank you for sharing it and all the good work you have done.

Thanks Mike, I wanted to give some positive feedback about the course. I did the Pediatrics course over a year and half ago and since then my confidence and ability to ask questions and assess my patients has drastically improved. I am calm and know that while I might not know what is happening I can handle the situation. I wanted to share a recent experience with a 2 year old. To date this is probably the sickest child I have had. Long story short we had a two year old that had status seizures and unable to adequately ventilate the patient, not reaching o2 anbove 50% initially, we pieced together it was an airway obstruction. The child was discharged later from Childrens hospital and sounds like making a full recovery. I wanted to say that your course helped give me the confidence in a highly stressful situation and emotionally charged. I felt confident in myself and able to assist other colleagues. I was given good feedback on my ability to handle the call and provide my ACPs with aid and support. Thank you for the opportunity to learn more. I felt that it was important to know that your course had provided me with education numerous times where I can recognize more that I could have before. It helped save this little life. Jennifer
